One of the messages on the Kos Quilt says, "I came for the politics and stayed for the community." That is true for me, too.
I have experienced every imaginable emotion on this site. From anger and despair to happiness and pride. I have cried uncontrollably and laughed until there were tears running down my cheeks.
I have learned so much from contributors on here that "wow" has become my favorite word. What else is there to say when the message, the clarity, the poignancy, the power of an essay just takes your breath away?
This is a special place.
