I saw Charles Barkley unintelligible, garbled nonsense of an analysis about the murders of Michael Brown and Eric Garner and was embarrassed for him. The truth is, the loudmouth should never have been put in the position where people seek out his opinions about social issues. This wanna-be Republican Governor of the State of Alabama has never been particularly bright and wordiness should not be mistaken for intelligence.
I have been saying for a long time now that Barkley fancies himself as the next Muhammad Ali and our fickle news media has been treating him as if he were the second coming of that icon. Of course he's not, and never will be. Here he is spouting his nonsense:
In an interview with CNN, Barkley said, "We as black people, we have a lot of crooks. We can't just wait until something like (the Brown shooting) happens. We have to look at ourselves in the mirror."http://www.cnn.com/...
"There is a reason that they racially profile us in the way they do. Sometimes it is wrong, and sometimes it is right," Barkley said.
Van Jones speaks for me as he takes Barkley to school and describes his rhetoric for what it is, "inflammatory, dangerous, and irresponsible."
